‘Thank you, Trump’: AI-generated video of crying Venezuelans thanking the US

A video showing emotional Venezuelans celebrating the capture of Nicolas Maduro – and thanking Donald Trump – has been widely shared on social media, and even reposted by Elon Musk. The clip is, however, generated by AI. It joins several other fake videos claiming to show joy and celebrations in Venezuela, via dated or out-of-context clips.
