Miley Cyrus doesn’t usually call Maxx Morando her fiancé

Cyrus attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards show on Saturday, January 3, where she spoke candidly about her relationship with Morando in an interview. When asked if she likes to introduce her boyfriend as her fiancé, Cyrus admitted it’s the opposite.
“Oh, that makes me so cringe. I’m kind of an idiot with stuff like that,” the artist explained. Although she doesn’t like to use the fiancé label, Cyrus has no problem gushing about her love for Morando and how he proposed to her at the “perfect time” in her life.

The drummer managed to surprise his fiancée with his proposal
A month before her latest confession about her engagement to Morando, The Blast reported that Cyrus had reversed the proposal. She explained that she was not easy to surprise, but that Morando managed to beat her at her own game.
Cyrus admitted she was “so, so, so surprised” when Morando asked her the big question during their trip to Asia. She also flaunted the unique ring he gave her, saying he “did good” by choosing the design and timing of the proposal.
The “Flowers” singer explained that her engagement to Morando was “perfectly aligned” with her career as it became the inspiration behind Cameron’s film soundtrack. She noted that she immediately began working on the song upon returning from the trip.

The Disney alum’s future father-in-law confirmed the couple’s engagement
As noted, Cyrus didn’t publicly confirm her engagement to Morando until her future father-in-law spilled the tea. The Blast covered the story last December, reporting that the drummer’s father shared the update on Instagram.
A fan took screenshots of her congratulatory message to the couple and shared them on X, drawing more attention to the engagement. Cyrus had piqued fans’ curiosity a few days earlier when she attended the premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in Los Angeles with Morando.
The lovebirds posed for photos together, with Cyrus drawing attention to the huge ring on her wedding finger. Internet sleuths quickly realized that this wasn’t the first time she had flaunted the jewelry, as they were seen on the same finger at her 33rd birthday party.

According to a report from The Blast, Francesca Simons, who represents jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, confirmed that Cyrus’ engagement ring was from the famous designer. The jewelry featured a cushion-cut stone set on a thick 14-karat gold bracelet.
Other jewelry experts weighed in on Cyrus’ unique ring, with Blue Nile’s Daniela Tarantino estimating it cost between $300,000 and $450,000. However, Reyne Hirsch, a former Antiques Roadshow appraiser, estimated the value of the jewelry to be lower.
According to Hirsch, Cyrus’ engagement ring could be valued between $150,000 and $250,000, depending on the “color and clarity” of the gemstone. Diamond expert Kristy Cullinane echoed similar sentiments, suspecting the jewelry’s value was around “$200,000 and up for a mined diamond or $15,000 for a synthetic diamond.”
Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando reportedly want a personal ceremony
Last month, The Blast shared that an insider weighed in on Cyrus and Morando’s plans for their upcoming wedding. They claimed the lovebirds might not go the conventional route because they wanted something more personal.
According to our source, Cyrus and Morando were more likely to “celebrate in their own way” by doing “something fun and meaningful that feels very special to them.” There was also the possibility that the couple would elope and celebrate their union in private.
The insider added that Cyrus is enjoying the engagement phase and is in no rush to get married to Morando. “She’s not very keen on having another wedding,” the source explained, referring to the singer’s 2018 union with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
