Atlanta-based retailer says its goal is to “generate greater agility” Home deposit announced Wednesday the elimination of 800 jobs related to its Atlanta store support center.

The company also said it would require its employees to return to the office full time, five days a week.

“We are simplifying our business operations to better support our stores and customers,” Home Depot said in a statement to FOX Business. “These changes include a reduction in roles associated with our in-store support center and a transition to a five-day in-office work schedule for our corporate staff.”

The company said its goal was to “enable greater agility and enable the company to move forward faster and stay even closer in touch with our frontline associates.”
