Autonomous truck start-up Waabi’s billion-dollar fundraiser is not just about trucks.
The deal, worth an initial $750 million, plus an additional $250 million from Uber tied to deployment stages, marks a major expansion into robotaxis for the company founded by former Uber AI chief Raquel Urtasun. This also looks like another Uber chip on the autonomous vehicle roulette table.
