Indonesia wants Tesla to make cars – and batteries – locally. This might be the smartest bet Elon Musk could make, and it won’t be that difficult. As part of its electrification roadmap, Indonesia wants to manufacture around 400,000 electric vehicles by 2025 and multiply this figure several times after that.
