There is a very understandable attraction to wireless headphones; Going wireless can be extremely convenient, reducing clutter and being overall more user-friendly. A bargain on a portable console like the Switch 2, surely?

Well, on Nintendo’s machine it all comes down to connection type. For example, Bluetooth headphones really don’t seem to work well with the Switch 2 in my experience. I tried a number of wireless headsets on the console, and all experienced some pretty uncomfortable audio delay caused by that Bluetooth connection.
