Cop says Dillon Brooks’ car smells like weed in bodycam footage of his drunk driving arrest

Arizona Cops Who Arrested NBA Star Dillon Brooks told him his car smelled like a marijuana dispensary … according to police body camera footage during his drunk driving arrest.

TMZ Sports obtained the video just hours after the Phoenix Suns star was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona around 1 a.m. Friday.

In the video, the cops mention the smell of weed several times… including when one officer tells Brooks, “It smells like a dispensary in your car.”

The police tell Brooks they stopped him because they saw him swerving in and out of his lane…but he responds that they were also swerving in their squad car on the same road.

Brooks was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and taken to the Scottsdale City Jail before being released at 3:30 a.m. In the footage, he asks the cops when he can get his Rolls Royce back.

In the footage, Brooks tells cops he hasn’t had a drink in six months…and he appears to register a 0.0 blood alcohol level on a breathalyzer test.

Brooks — who averaged 20.9 points per game this season — is currently recovering from a broken left hand he suffered during the Suns-Magic game on Feb. 21 … and he mentions the injury in his interactions with police. It will be re-evaluated at the end of the month or beginning of April.

The Suns said in a statement that they are investigating the situation and have no further comment at this time.
