Keith Urban reportedly facing a ‘mid-life crisis’ that completely changed who he is following his split from the actress Nicole Kidman.
His situation allegedly pushed him to cut off all communication with his ex-wife, who no longer recognized the man to whom she had been married.
According to reports, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 15, are well aware of their father’s behavior and have chosen to stay closer to their mother.
The singer doesn’t “really communicate” with his ex-wife

Seven months after the shocking news of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s split, the initial buzz has started to build.
On the surface, Urban and Kidman also appear to have moved on. The singer was recently spotted headlining Country to Country, Britain’s biggest country music festival, while the actress turned heads during her latest appearance at the Oscars.
However, sources now say that behind the scenes, Urban appears to be going through some personal turmoil that may have contributed to the surprising decision to end his nearly two-decade marriage.
A source claimed the singer was going through a “mid-life crisis” and was no longer communicating with Kidman, despite them agreeing to co-parent their children, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 15.
“Nicole and Keith don’t really communicate,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Things got really bad at the end of their relationship and haven’t gotten better.”
They added: “Keith seems to really want to live the single life, almost like a mid-life crisis since the split. He’s become a totally different person. It’s like she doesn’t know him at all anymore.”
Sources deny allegations that Nicole Kidman turned her daughters against their father
Amid Urban’s so-called “midlife crisis,” the singer received a major blow from his daughter, Sunday Rose.
The aspiring model recently thanked only her mother in a Feature Elle Australia for shaping his creative influences and work ethic, a decision that reportedly left Urban “numb.”
His comments also sparked speculation about whether Kidman might have influenced him, and, by extension, Faith, against Urban following their split.
However, sources who spoke with the outlet dismissed the allegations, pointing out that the former couple’s children are old enough to understand the situation on their own.
They also pointed out that the girls are naturally closer to their mother, as they spend most of their time with her under the custody agreement signed by Urban and Kidman.
“Nicole didn’t turn the kids against him; they made their own choices about their father,” a source noted. “She’s not like that. Keith hasn’t tried very hard to make things better in their eyes. The girls have always been very close to their mother. They are everything to her.”
Nicole Kidman shares a close bond with her daughters
Expanding on the family dynamic, another source revealed that the children have largely supported their mother rather than their father following the divorce.
“The girls are definitely Team Nicole – they’re in her corner, they’re hurt and angry because of her,” the source claimed. “There’s some resentment against Keith. If they blame anyone, it’s him, not her.”
Kidman also reportedly returns the same energy to her daughters, as she has yet to forget how her older children, Isabella and Connor, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, chose to stay with their father.
“They are very close to her. Nicole decided she had a second chance at being a mother and she always took it very seriously after everything that happened with Tom Cruise and those kids,” the source continued. “She’s been a fantastic mother, and the girls know that. So of course they’re going to be close to her and protect her.”
Keith Urban wants to repair his relationship with his children
The behavior of Urban’s children was not lost on him and it reportedly caused him sleepless nights.
“Keith knows they are angry with him and it’s hurtful. He’s really worried about his relationship with both of them,” a close source said.
Moving forward, he plans to do his best to remain present in his children’s lives and doesn’t blame Kidman for the distance between them.
“He’s hurt, but he feels like he can make things right. He doesn’t blame Nicole, and it doesn’t seem like she’s pushing them away from him,” the source continued.
“But he knows he has a lot of work to do, to repair things with them. But he is determined to do it,” they added.
Nicole Kidman recently broke her silence on their divorce
During a recent Variety During the interview, Kidman finally addressed her divorce, noting that she was in a good place and focused on the future.
When asked if she was “doing well” since her split from Urban, the actress replied, “Yes, because I’m always going to go for what’s right.” »
Kidman continued: “[Last year] I was silent. I had something else to do. I was in my shell. Now I am able to say “2026”. Here we go.'”
She also shared that she has no plans to leave Nashville despite her divorce. “We have our lives here,” the actress told the publication. “I’ve been a part of the city and the community for 20 years. This is my home.”
