I’ve been a Lego fan my whole life. As a kid growing up in India in the 80s and 90s, my source for classic sets was my pilot uncle who brought me a new one every time he flew the India-Germany route. Between the ages of 5 and 13, he brought 4 sets and I still have the last one.

Now in my 40s, I’m still fascinated by popular staples. A few years ago I would have lusted after the cameras (I’m a photographer), but now I find I love the Botanicals series, and these can usually be had on a regular basis for not a lot of money. Since I already killed a lucky bamboo tree, the Lego version stays green day after day.

That said, I love the Architecture series: the more complicated the construction, the better!
