Paul breaks silence after ABC cuts previously filmed season of ‘The Bachelorette’
Paul’s rep released a statement on his behalf following the cancellation of his season of “The Bachelorette.”
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes the safety and security of her family. After years of silently suffering numerous mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor finally has the strength to face her accuser and take steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from further harm,” the spokesperson said.
“There are too many women suffering in silence as they survive aggressive and jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support and preparing to own and share her story,” they continued.

Former “Bachelor” star Rachel Lindsay also weighed in on the drama, saying she thinks the beloved ABC franchise has been ruined.
“I think it’s over,” she said. “I was trying to think of a scenario where things could be different, because it’s not just, ‘Oh, we blamed it all on one person. This person did this.’ This is the system that allowed this to happen.
According to Lindsay, who was the show’s first black lead in its 13th season, Paul’s alleged actions “tainted” the show. “How can you go beyond that? You can’t.”
