Zendaya and Pattinson recently spoke to Fandango about “The Drama,” which hits theaters April 3. During the interview, a discussion took place that both actors have several films coming up.

As for Zendaya, she has five projects planned for 2026 alone. Of course, that means those movies and shows have already been filmed or are close to being finished.

She noted the large number of projects, saying, “I just hope you don’t get sick of me this year because I’ll tell you, after this, I disappear for a little while. I’m going to have to hide for just a little while.”

Zendaya has been in the industry since 2010. However, she has become a pop culture staple in recent years thanks to her roles in films such as the “Spider-Man” films, “Challengers” and “The Greatest Showman.”

Now, 2026 is shaping up to be perhaps its busiest year yet. After “The Drama,” she will appear in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” which arrives in theaters July 17. The same month, on the 31st, fans will also see her in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, alongside her fiancé, Tom Hollandwho will also appear in “The Odyssey”.

Then, in December, “Dune: Part Three” will be released in theaters on the 18th. Regarding television, “Euphoria” returns for its third season on April 12.

Fans were quick to respond to Zendaya’s comments about taking a short break from acting. One X user said: “You earned your break, Zendaya! Can’t wait to see everything you’ve been working on.” Another fan wrote: “She’s been in front of the camera for a long time so it’s good for her to take a break and rest, as well as her face.”

Someone else speculated: “Zendaya already taking a break… or just making sure people miss her before they get bored?” Another X user joked: “She really said, I’m giving you enough content to survive the winter, now leave me and my quiet life alone.”

Finally, one fan wrote, “Zendaya is literally the main character of 2026. She has a few projects dropped this year, including Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey,’ ‘Spider-Man,’ and ‘Dune 3.’ She says she’s going to “go into hiding” after this to give us a break, but honestly? We never get tired of her.

As mentioned, “The Drama,” starring Zendaya and Pattinson as a couple, will hit theaters in April 2026. Before the film, it was revealed that there would be a twist that no one saw coming, based solely on its marketing as a romantic comedy.

After that, on March 24, TMZ revealed that Zendaya’s character had considered committing a school shooting. To be clear, his character didn’t carry out his plan, but now a relative of a Columbine victim has called out the film to TMZ.

The father, Tom Mausersaid he felt the film “humanizes” the shooters and “normalizes” the shootings. It is also worth noting that the famous film critic Grace Randolph saw the film but decided not to watch it again.

She wrote on

For those of you who didn’t see my previous tweet,
I saw #TheDrama tonight

And I have the impression that this extremely delicate subject is so poorly handled that it is impossible to discuss it.

So far, neither Zendaya, Pattinson nor A24, the studio behind “The Drama,” have responded to the backlash.

Zendaya and Holland got engaged in late 2024. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation about when they might actually get married.

The anticipation was then amplified when the famous celebrity stylist Law Cockroach told Access Hollywood in March 2026, “The wedding already happened. You missed it.” Of course, it’s unclear whether her comments were meant to be taken seriously or if he was referring to her film “The Drama,” in which she plans to marry Pattinson’s character.

Since then, Zendaya hasn’t said whether she and Holland got married.
