“We are on the edge of a battlefield”: reports BBC near the Strait of Hormuz

BBC international correspondent Orla Guerin visited the Strait of Hormuz in Oman, which Iran has held under control since the start of the war.

This critical artery is normally used for 20% of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas.

By leaving its ships stuck in the waterway, Iran is reducing the global supply of oil, driving up prices and sparking fear among consumers, while amplifying pressure within the international community.
