UFL 2026 Week 3 Results: Storm Outlasts Kings in Wild Overtime Thriller

Week three of the 2026 UFL season began with the Orlando Storm (3-0) outlasting the Louisville Kings (0-3) in overtime in a wild and heated rematch at Kentucky’s Lynn Family Stadium on FOX UFL Friday. Next, the Houston Gamblers (1-1) will face the defending champion DC Defenders (1-1) on Saturday at Audi Field in Washington, DC. We have a doubleheader on Sunday, with the Columbus Aviators (0-2) taking on the Dallas Renegades (2-0) at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, followed by the St. Louis Battlehawks (1-1) hosting the Birmingham Stallions (1-1) at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. Here are the Week 3 results: Orlando Storm 29, Louisville Kings 27 (OT) Key players: Storm QB Jack Plummer (21 of 34 for 250 yards, three TDs), WR Chris Rowland (9 of 13 for 113 yards, one TD), WR KJ Hamler (3 of 5 for 74 yards, one TD); Kings QB Jason Bean (23 for 46 for 352 yards, three TDs), WR Isaiah Winstead (7 for 14 for 114 yards), TE Zach Davidson (4 for 5 for 79 yards, two TDs). Game recap: The Storm fell behind nearly eight minutes on its first drive, which ended with a missed field goal and no points. The Kings took advantage, going on a long drive to score a field goal and take a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. Orlando bounced back early in the second quarter, conceding a touchdown on the ensuing possession. Suddenly, the Storm led 7-3. Both teams traded field goals later in the period to keep the game within four points heading into halftime, 10-6. The second half was very different from the first for both teams. Five touchdowns were scored in the final two frames, including three in the third quarter – one for Orlando and two for Louisville. Both quarters let it fly, and the Kings had a slight 20-17 advantage in the fourth quarter. That lead was short-lived, however, as the Storm kicked a field goal from 40 yards out to put things right. What followed was a costly turnover on downs for the Kings, who gave the ball back to the Storm at midfield with plenty of time on the clock. Plummer & Co. wasted no time, driving 52 yards in three plays to win and take a 27-20 lead. The action didn’t stop there. Louisville kept the competition until the end. With 1:12 left in regulation, the Kings scored to tie the game at 27 and send things into overtime. The UFL’s OT rules are unique. Teams alternate two-point conversion attempts from the 5-yard line, with each successful conversion worth two points. If the tie persists after three attempts, as was the case in Friday’s match, the two teams will continue to alternate in a sudden-death round until there is a winner. The Storm ultimately won the game after getting two points for a penalty committed by the Kings. Because it was Louisville’s second defensive foul in overtime, the Storm’s try was ruled good and Orlando came away victorious. This rule is in place to discourage defenses from continuing to intentionally foul the other team to avoid scores in overtime, and the same team’s second live ball foul during overtime results in a good try for the other team. Next up: In Week 4, the Storm are on the road again, this time to face the Stallions in Birmingham next Saturday.
