Eric Swalwell Dropping out of California governor’s race …Amid sexual assault accusations

Congressman Eric SwalwellCalifornia’s gubernatorial race has come to a screeching halt… due to sexual assault allegations.
Swalwell made the announcement on X, writing, “I am suspending my campaign for governor.”

To my family, staff, friends and supporters, I am deeply sorry for the errors in judgment I have made in my past.
I will fight the serious and false allegations that have been made – but this is my fight, not a campaign’s. @ericswalwell
He continued… “To my family, my team, my friends and my supporters, I am deeply sorry for the errors of judgment I have made in my past. I will fight the serious and false allegations that have been made – but this is my fight, not a campaign’s.”
Although his gubernatorial ambitions are dashed, Swalwell has not said whether he will leave the Capitol altogether.
As you know… Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiffand some Swalwell staff were asking him to step down in the California gubernatorial race after a former staffer spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity and said she went to a bar with Swalwell and passed out.
She says she remembers a clip from that night… when Swalwell was all over her. She says she tried to push him away, but he continued anyway.
Swalwell has completely denied the accusations against him.
He also faces allegations that he sent unsolicited nudes to a political influencer and a DHS investigation for allegedly paying a Brazilian nanny under the table when her work permit had expired.
