Israel and Lebanon extended their ceasefire by three weeks on Thursday following a meeting of officials from both sides at the White House. US President Donald Trump said he believed there was a “great chance” the two countries could reach a peace deal, even as Israel and Hezbollah accuse each other of multiple violations of the initial truce.
