François Picard is happy to welcome Merijn Tinga, biologist, artist, activist, affectionately nicknamed the Plastic Soup Surfer. He joins us, not only as a scientist or activist, but also as someone who spends hours a day on the water, directly experiencing the forces we so often forget. From the surfboard, everything becomes clear: “You are one with the wind, with the waves… you have only one goal.” And yet, back on land, “we are immersed in this throwaway culture”.
