New Google Travel Features

In April, Google announced a new feature to track hotel prices and another that can help you in case of a packing mishap.

Track Hotel Prices with Google Search

In the same way that you can currently track flight prices, you can now enable price tracking for specific hotels on the Google search results page or through google.com/hotels.

Last year, Google launched a feature that lets you track hotel prices for a specific city, but only tracks a single hotel you prefer.

On desktop, you can open search, search for a hotel, and then enable the new price tracking. On mobile, you will find the price tracking option under the Prices tab. Once you enable price tracking, you’ll receive email alerts when prices drop on set dates, so you don’t miss any deals.

The hotel tracker is available on desktop and mobile.

Picture this: You land in the tropical destination of your dreams, open your suitcase and realize you forgot to pack sunglasses. A new feature in AI mode will allow you to find products in stock nearby. Google’s agentic AI will call local stores to ask if they have the products you’re looking for and relevant deals.

To get started, all you need to do is briefly describe your need, for example, “I forgot to bring polarized sunglasses. Where can I get it nearby? From there, Gemini will call local stores and then send you results on where you can shop.

This tool was launched directly on Search in November and is now deployed in AI mode in the United States.
