When I first saw the Sony 1000X The Collexion headphones – the company’s new high-end cans designed to deliver roomier, more natural sound with better comfort compared to the Sony WH-1000XM6 – I immediately had a thought, and I wasn’t alone among the audio journalists I was with: They look like a plot like the Sonos Ace.

Both headphones opt for an ultra-clean look, internal mechanisms for the headband arms, slim profile earcups, chrome details and heathered faux leather material.

Are you enough of a headphone lover to distinguish between two of the best noise-cancelling headphones? I admit, I built the damn quiz, then only got 9/10 on testing it…
