With just a few screws and a power cable to pass through the bracket, installation was a simple process. Adjustments for monitor tilt, height, and swivel are done with a single dodgy handle, and it’s not as intuitive as I would have liked. For something that would need to be adjusted frequently, this should be a little easier.
Height adjustment is more limited. The stand itself doesn’t move up or down, and the monitor can only be adjusted from the steel bar where the screen clips onto the stand. However, eight inches is enough for the height adjustment, which allowed me to find eye level no matter where I was sitting.
My lack of television makes me the ideal candidate for the Movingstyle booth. Moving the screen from the living room to the kitchen and into the closet is great. Because we live in a multi-story townhouse, it was not possible to move the Movestyle between floors, limiting the device’s usefulness. Another factor limiting the monitor’s mobility is the short power cable, at 4 feet 9 inches. Although longer than a standard power cord on a desktop monitor, you’ll either want to connect the Movestyle to an extension cord or move between different outlets when moving this display around a large home.
Beyond stairs and cable length, the other limitation you may encounter is rugs or carpeting. We don’t have a thick rug in our house, but we do have one in our living room. I found the Movingstyle rolled on it quite easily, even though it is a fairly thin mat. The wheels roll best, of course, on a smooth, flat surface, namely hardwood. Overall, though, I was impressed with the way this thing moved.
Television and more
Samsung’s smart TV services are second to none. As Other smart monitors from Samsungthe Movingstyle runs on the Tizen operating system, allowing the monitor to operate without being plugged into a laptop or PC.
If you’ve never used the Samsung TV operating system, it’s just a simple way to view all available content in a continuous stream of channels and apps. Navigating the user interface is nice and simple, and the operating system also shows you some features you might not have known about, such as the free content you can watch as part of the Samsung TV Plus service, which includes live local TV, sports, and on-demand shows. You have access to this compelling assortment of content in addition to the streaming services you may already subscribe to. Switching to your laptop or local console connected via HDMI is just as easy whenever you want.
