If you are a PC player, then you should also be a Steam user, with the Valve Storefront not only giving you access to some of the biggest releases and a wide selection of hidden indie gems, but it also hosts regular events, which is the one-stop-shop for getting your hands on titles at a heavily discounted price, or even completely free.
This month, Steam is hosting its Ocean Fest which runs until May 25, meaning you only have 24 hours to get your hands on the epic deals currently available on the PC store. From the adorable, cozy indie farming adventure game Collectors’ Cove to the newly released Darwin’s paradox, a cinematic adventure from publisher KONAMI, the Ocean Fest Steam event has something for everyone, and for the next 24 hours you can experience 24 games absolutely free.

Indeed, all games presented at the events currently offer a free demo, allowing you to try before you buy, and even try out some upcoming games that belong to the ocean genre.
Although we won’t discuss all 24 games in detail here, I have selected some interesting titles, but don’t worry, Skull and bones is not one of them, although a demo is currently available for Ubisoft’s controversial version.
Some positively rated games that caught my attention are The last guardian, a survival game in which players will explore a drowned land, restore lost systems, and raise the last human seeds. In this first-person survival game, you’ll need to build, scavenge, and defend in order to bring humanity back to the stars. If you like what you see in the demo, The last guardian is currently available for purchase at 20% off.
There is also Overturned!, a short and relaxing game that will ask you to clean up the ocean. By recycling you will earn parts that will help you upgrade your boat and make your job much easier. By cleaning up spills and all other kinds of trash, you’ll really feel like you’re making a difference in this adorable, underrated gem.
If you’re afraid of what lurks in the depths of the ocean, you probably want to skip it. UMIGARI, a first-person spearfishing game set in the waters off the coast of Japan. As you hunt and sell your catch, you’ll gradually be able to upgrade your gear, but you’ll soon realize that the more fish you catch, the stranger they become, and it doesn’t help that you’re all alone out there…
All of these games and more are available to try and then purchase at a deeply discounted price, courtesy of Steam’s Ocean Fest Event. So, if you want to brave the ocean depths, hurry because this event ends in just 24 hours.
