Bam Margera Reportedly Skipped ‘Jackass’ Premiere Amid Crew Fallout

Bam Margera would not adorn the “Jackass” rugs.

The stuntman would inevitably be absent at the big event when the film is released next month. Even though he returned to the franchise after its major fallout and legal woes with director Jeff Tremaine and fellow actor Johnny Knoxville, it seems the old wounds haven’t completely healed yet.

The fact that Bam Margera was not present at the film’s premiere does not indicate his support for the franchise. He previously agreed to have footage of some of his exclusive stunts featured in the upcoming film.

Surprisingly, the stuntman received an invitation to the Hollywood premiere of “Jackass: Best and Last”, but he reportedly confirmed that he would not attend.

Margera got the ticket to the big event for the latest film “Jackass”, which would be released in theaters next month. Although others are counting down the days until the prestigious event, the actor will not be in attendance due to a prior commitment.

Sources tell TMZ that in addition to his other projects, he’s not quite ready for a high-profile reunion after bitter fallouts with the cast, particularly Knoxville and Tremaine. Still, Margera wants the film to be a huge success like the others have been.

Margera was fired from the last film for allegedly breaking her contract with the franchise. He reportedly failed to comply with conditions stipulating that he remain sober after his struggles with drug addiction and addiction.

The firing was just the tip of the iceberg for bitter fallout, public appeals and legal tussles with the “Jackass” crew and Paramount.

The stuntman sued Paramount, Knoxville and Tremaine for wrongful termination in 2022. This became hot online, as Margera called out his fellow actor on social media and even challenged him to a bare-knuckle fight in 2024.

The legal war apparently became water under the bridge after he settled the case and he returned to be part of “Best and Last.”

The professional skateboarder also struck a deal earlier this year that allowed producers to use never-before-seen footage of him in the upcoming film, as well as new stunts.

Margera might not be at the premiere, but he will have some sort of rep, according to insiders.

His parents, April and Phil, who are big fans of the franchise, are said to be attending the Hollywood premiere of the latest film next month, although their son will not be there.

Recovery was top of the list for the stuntman

Margera’s struggles with substance abuse and addiction are no secret, as he has been the subject of several arrests for public drunkenness and physical altercation.

He was jailed in Pennsylvania in September 2024 for violating his probation following a September 16 arrest on suspicion of drunk driving.

The actor was released on September 25, 2024, after agreeing to enter a treatment center. The Blast reported that he agreed to complete a short-term program at Recovery Centers of America for inpatient treatment.

According to her attorney, Margera had stayed on track for more than a year and passed all of her drug tests at the time. Since he went directly from prison to the rehabilitation center, it helped speed up the closure of his probation case.

Before the professional skateboarder decided to change his life, he almost lost the use of his legs due to drug addiction, which would have been fatal considering his career.

As The Blast reports, Margera recalled a dark period in his life when he almost lost the most valuable part of his body due to his bad habits.

He shared his story at an event for the video game “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4,” revealing that he had also lost his passion for the physical activity he previously loved most.

The actor shared that at that time, he felt lost and disconnected from skating for about a decade, until he took time to reflect on his main sources of happiness.

After much thought, Margera realized that skateboarding was at the top of his list and ultimately decided to get back up.

“You know, in 2013 the doctor said they were dry rotten rubber bands from alcohol abuse, so I kind of lost hope. But now they’re back 100 percent. I’m skating again,” the stuntman said of his legs.

With the help of his son, Dannii Marie, he was able to regain his physical health, work on his sobriety and return to the ice.

The stunt expert was embroiled in a legal feud with his ex-wife, Nikki Boyd, over child support costs for their son, Phoenix.

Boyd had primary custody of Phoenix since the couple split and asked the court to order his ex to pay $15,000 a month in child support.

She claimed her claim stemmed from her financial difficulties, in addition to alleging that Margera did not cover their son’s health insurance, housing, child care or education.

Boyd also claimed that her ex-husband, as a high-profile media personality, could afford to shoulder the financial burden of Phoenix’s needs.

After years of dueling in court, the former lovers reached an agreement that would see the former MTV star pay $2,500 a month in child support costs.

The Blast reported that Boyd remained the provider of Phoenix’s health insurance coverage, however. Margera and Boyd were married for almost ten years and she filed for full custody of their son after ending their union in 2021.
