The Blast has caught up Lisa Barlow from “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” at the American Music Awards on May 25. She looked stunning and elegant on the red carpet, and we couldn’t resist asking her a few questions about the new season of “RHOSLC.” The self-proclaimed entrepreneur had a lot to say about the new season, a misconception about herself she wanted to dispel and her love for Teyana Taylor!
We asked Lisa to tell us about the new season, and she didn’t hold back! “Oh my God, this new season is so fresh, so magical,” she said. “I feel like you’re going to get an in-depth look at who we are. I think you’re going to see a different side of all of us. I think a lot of rumors and nastiness are going to be dispelled, and I think you’re going to feel a very fresh and new feeling, RHOSLC like never before.”
“It’s very different from the last six years,” she added. “I think it’s going to surprise people.”

We also asked Lisa to name one misconception about herself that she wanted to dispel once and for all. “Oh my God, there are so many,” Lisa said, laughing. “I’ll tell you what’s true. I’m very trusting and I like the truth. What’s not true is that I am the source of everything. I am the source of nothing but myself, and nothing fell on the plane.”
For those who don’t know, she had a viral “diva moment” after losing her first class seat and being forced to fly by coach a few years ago. The incident sparked a lot of debate on social media and many memes.
There was also another notorious incident that occurred on an international flight home with the cast of “RHOSLC.” Lisa’s close friend Meredith Marks and cast member Britani Bateman got into a fight, which reportedly revolved around a TikTok video regarding Meredith’s husband.
Enthusiasm for AMA is in the air!
The last question was about AMAs. We asked her who she was most excited to see, and she already had a bunch of names in mind! “Oh my God, there are so many people I can’t wait to see!” she said, naming Rod Stewart and Teyana Taylor as her top two choices. She also revealed that she’s eyeing several new artists, like country singer Ella Langley.
We even got to hear a little clip of her singing Langley’s hit song, “Be Her.” Lisa sang, “She drank wine by the glass, not the bottle,” and we think Lisa might have her own singing career ahead of her if she wants one!

“Teyana Taylor’s performance is iconic,” she continued. “I loved her, I love watching her being a mom, an entrepreneur, an actress, her actions on stage. I think she’s amazing and so positive and she has such a light and energy in her that I’m excited to watch Teyana Taylor.”
She went on to say that there were “so many” great artists performing tonight. “I mean, we’re surrounded by some of the greatest, and I love that it brings together the fusion of past and present,” she continued. “And it takes us on a trip down memory lane and reminds us of how we got here and how the sounds have evolved, but it always comes back to the iconic sounds of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, and how they shine through in today’s music.”
