The rapper reportedly checked himself into the nearest health facility after noticing unusual symptoms regarding his physical health shortly after the celebrity boxing match in Las Vegas last weekend.
Ray J recently revealed that his heart is not in the best condition due to the effects of some poor life choices he made in the past, including alcoholism and drugs.
Ray J was reportedly in the hospital two hours after the match
The artist would have taken the initiative to go to a health establishment two hours after the end of the match. According to sources, doctors have since started running tests on the rapper, hoping to find the root of his health issues.
Medical experts are reportedly examining whether Ray suffered a concussion during the fight, as he also mentioned that he began suffering from complications related to an unusually slow heart rate.
As TMZ stated, the songwriter’s latest health alert follows earlier reports earlier this year that he was hospitalized with pneumonia and heart problems.
The rapper bowed out of the match with a clean knockout in the second round
Ray’s outing in Las Vegas on May 23 failed to prove his strength or experience as a fighter in the ring. The rapper couldn’t take the heat from Supa Hot Fire as he collapsed under the weight of his punch in the second round of the Adin Ross UFC Apex event.
Supa Hot Fire threw a clean punch in Ray’s direction around 2:35, causing him to lose his balance after which he stumbled into the ropes and landed on the canvas with a thud. The Blast shared that the referee immediately declared the result as a victory in favor of Supa Hot Fire.
However, a disgruntled Ray had a few things to say after the bell rang, including that the game was rigged and that a lot of money had been wasted with the outcome of the match.
Ray J’s boxing match may have defied his doctors’ orders
The artist revealed during an interview in January that doctors had expressed doubts about how much time he had left, hence the need to prescribe him some medications to help him manage his health.
As shared by The Blast, Ray recalled that his medication list included cholesterol medications Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto, drugs often prescribed to people at high risk of heart failure.
He also said he was informed he may be placed on a pacemaker or defibrillator, depending on the outcome of his next appointment. However, Ray was advised to get as much rest as possible while following his prescriptions religiously.
He was also warned to avoid drinking and smoking, although he admitted to finding these rules difficult to follow, but staying alive as long as he could for the sake of his children became a priority.
In another post, the streamer expressed regret over his past lifestyle, admitting that he should have slowed things down a bit on the fun side. He added that when he dies, he would like to be cremated and not buried.

As the year 2025 drew to a close, Ray found himself embroiled in a domestic dispute involving his estranged wife, Princess Love. The actor was reportedly arrested after a tense argument over their two children on Thanksgiving.
As the exchange continued, Ray allegedly pulled his gun on Princess Love, prompting him to call the cops, who came and took the rapper away from the scene. According to reports, the former couple disagreed over Princess Love’s choice to leave their child.
That wasn’t all, Ray also committed an offense with his wife’s cousin husband staying inside his house, and his fans on Twitch were able to watch the chaos erupt in real time as the rapper streamed at the time.
A month after his arrest, Ray shared a video of himself allegedly stranded in Tampa without food or shelter, noting that he hoped to hitchhike to Los Angeles while filming what he hoped would become a hitchhiking show.
Ray J and Princess Love find common ground amid health reveal
The actor and his ex-wife have finally put aside their differences. They went to the San Fernando Courthouse in Los Angeles in January to relax the protective order that prevented him from contacting Love and their children.
The new arrangement calls for the rapper to have unlimited and maximum contact with his children after third parties testified in court that he did indeed miss his children.
Love also agreed and noted that they had all lost sleep over his health issues, and the time factor attached to the reveal made it imperative for them to spend as much time with him as possible. The singer’s baby mama walked back her initial statement that Ray posed a danger to the well-being of their two children.
Love and Ray’s marriage headed for the rocks in 2024 when she filed for divorce for the fourth time. She filed for sole custody a year later, recognizing that Ray’s unwarranted behavior had become frustrating and exhausting.
