We’ve named the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus the best premium Android tablet you can buy in Australia, thanks to its stunning 12-inch AMOLED display, long battery life and IP68 dust and waterproof rating.
Our review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus gave the tablet 4.5 stars for exactly these reasons, but one sticking point was its relatively high suggested price of AU$1,799. Luckily, retailer The Good Guys has slashed the price of the tablet by 51%, bringing it down to just AU$884, addressing our pricing concerns.
Our reviewer called the Tab S10 Plus “the best of both worlds, between a phone and a laptop,” calling the AMOLED display “gorgeous” and its four speakers delivering rich sound to match. You also get an S Pen included in the box – something no iPad offers (if you want an Apple Pencil, it has to be purchased separately). It also has a MicroSD slot for storage expandability, which is increasingly rare in today’s tablet landscape.
Although the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor isn’t as powerful as the desktop Apple Silicon chips you can find in the iPad Pro and Air, our tester found it to be more than adequate for a versatile device.
The tablet’s large size (285.4 x 185.4 x 5.6mm) may not suit everyone and our reviewer found it handled better in landscape mode, but it’s still more manageable to hold than the higher-end 14.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra while still offering generous screen real estate.
