  • Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff once again touts the effects of AI in the workplace
  • Benioff welcomes the efficiency gains, but also the savings linked to the use of AI
  • According to Benioff, having AI agents and humans working together can take your business to the next level.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has once again spoken out about his vision for the future of AI in software, predicting that the technology will bring huge gains in productivity and efficiency.

Speaking on the All-In podcast, Benioff, unsurprisingly, praised AI, especially when combined with human workers, noting: “Everything is going to be cheaper to make, it’s more efficient.”

“I can do things I couldn’t do before,” he added. “I can move faster than ever. I can implement my software and sell it at the same time. I can overcome the obstacles I encountered because I have coding agents and humans working together.”

“Unprecedented” effect

Continuing, Benioff noted that customers will see significant benefits by choosing Salesforce’s AI-powered tools and services, from CRM to Slack.

“What I can do for our customers is unprecedented; it’s impossible to describe what we’re going to be able to do for our customers. It’s going to be awesome,” Benioff noted.

Benioff’s optimistic approach isn’t terribly surprising, as he has been at the forefront of fighting the so-called “SaaSpocalypse” brought on by the influx of AI into workplace software.

In February 2026, Benioff highlighted how AI makes the Salesforce platform more valuable by acting as an operating system for AI agents – demonstrating that the technology isn’t killing software as the term suggests – it’s just rewriting it, much like it’s rewriting job roles.

“We rebuilt Salesforce to become the operating system for the agentic enterprise, bringing humans and agents together on a trusted platform,” Benioff said at the time.

The theme of “agentic enterprise” was announced by Benioff at the company’s Dreamforce 2025 event in October of that year, marking a new direction for its AI efforts.

“We want to communicate with our customers in a whole new way…the pace and growth of innovation has been impressive,” Benioff emphasized in his keynote speech at the event.

With Dreamforce 2026 just a few months away, it will be interesting to see how Salesforce positions itself again, with the effects of AI growing stronger every day.
