Former Attorney General Pam Bondi defended Friday the Ministry of Justicethe management of release files about notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in his opening statement to a Home sign.
Bondi stated that “to my knowledge”, the DOJ made public all documents and other evidence required by the Epstein files transparency lawaccording to a transcript of his statement obtained by MS NOW.
His statement on the Epstein Files came as Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee criticized the Republican majority for not filming Bondi’s interview with the panel.
“Pam Bondi was at the heart of a White House cover-up and Oversight Chairman James Comer is working to hide her testimony from the American people,” he said.Id Sara Guerrero, Democratic spokesperson on the panel.
“Survivors and the American people deserve to see her answer real questions about her mishandling and cover-up of the Epstein files,” Guerrero said.

Bondi, in his opening statement, acknowledged that there were “editorial errors” in the release of the Epstein documents.
Bondi also said she “did not lead all aspects of this effort or conduct the review of these materials myself.”
“I have delegated oversight of this process to the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche” Bondi said.
Bondi was fired in early April by Trump, who was unhappy with her handling of issues surrounding Epstein files, her former longtime friend.
Blanche is now acting attorney general. He is Trump’s former criminal lawyer.
“I am proud of the department’s record and commitment to transparency under my leadership,” Bondi said.
“We have demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to transparency in the Department’s search, collection and review of the Epstein files, producing nearly 3 million pages of documents, including thousands of videos and hundreds of thousands of images.”
“The bottom line is this: Justice and transparency in this matter have been achieved under the leadership of President Trump and his administration,” she said.
