Mina la Hollow is an old-school challenging game that requires you to use a mix of agility and strategy to take down aggressive enemies. That’s why it’s important to have at your disposal a type of weapon that truly adapts to your playstyle, giving you an extra edge against the endless onslaughts of bad guys. At the start of the game, you’ll have three starting weapons to choose from, so you’re probably wondering which one is best to grab.
Fortunately, you won’t be stuck with the weapon you choose at the start of the game, as you will eventually have a chance to obtain additional armaments to use in combat once you progress. However, the opening hours of your adventure can be made more difficult if you don’t use a weapon that suits you. So, here’s what to expect from starting weapons in Mina la Hollow, as well as our selection of the best to survive at the start of the game.
Best Starting Weapon in Mina The Hollower
The best weapon to choose at the start of Mina la Hollow it will depend on what type of play style you are looking for. You will have three options:
- Whisper and Vesper – A pair of daggers that allow you to attack very quickly but with a very limited range, meaning you will always need to be close to enemies.
- Night Star – A mace connected to a chain (see: a flail) that allows you to attack enemies from longer ranges, giving you increased flexibility in your approach to combat.
- Explosive Strike Maul – A giant hammer that deals reasonable damage with close-range normal attacks, but can also be charged up for a heavy attack to deal much more damage to enemies at the cost of mobility.
While there is technically no wrong choice here, the safest and most versatile starting weapon in the world Mina la Hollow is the night star. This flail allows you to keep your distance from your enemies while still being able to deal very high damage to them, providing the best mix of offensive and defensive play during the opening hours of the game. Once this weapon is upgraded to a more powerful version, it gains the ability to deal more damage with the tip of the mace, making it excellent for people who enjoy precision-based gameplay.
