Hisense’s colorful RGB TV, the UR8, hits shelves starting at $1,300

Hisense has revealed the immediate availability of its latest mini RGB LED, the UR8, which promises better colors than ever, with prices starting at $1,300.

The UR8 is one of two new RGB mini-LED TVs revealed by Hisense at CES 2026, while the UR9 was released earlier this year. The UR8 offers screen sizes ranging from 55 to 100 inches.

Hisense says the ranges bring “a significantly expanded color gamut with richer saturation and more accurate tonal reproduction.” The company says the new TVs are able to “preserve color integrity in bright rooms” when watching movies or playing games.

RGB backlights use groups of red, green, and blue LEDs to produce color and require fewer color filters than other TVs.

The TVs’ built-in audio was tuned by French audio brand Devialet, whose distinctive Phantom speakers I loved many years ago.

Hisense’s first mini-RGB LED, the 116-inch 116UX, debuted last year for $30,000, and the company says the new lineup is designed to bring the technology to a wider audience. Meanwhile, the Hisense U8QG this line replaces one of my favorite mini-LED TVs of 2025.

In 2026, a number of RGB backlit TVs are expected from SamsungLG and more, and I can’t wait to test to see how the Hisense version competes. The price of the UR8 is as follows:

  • 55-inch UR8 — $1,300
  • 65-inch UR8 — $1,800
  • 75-inch UR8 — $2,200
  • 85-inch UR8 — $3,200
  • 100-inch UR8 — $6,000
