When show time arrived, Times Square was awash in Madonna and Grindr branding as the pop icon emerged onto an elevated stage draped in a sheer pink and purple veil, mirroring the look of her upcoming album cover.

Fans filled the venue and held their phones to the sky as Madonna launched into an energetic set filled with dancefloor anthems.

The half-hour performance featured her Sabrina Charpentier collaboration “Bring Your Love,” fan favorite “Hung Up” and more… while giant screens surrounding Times Square broadcast images of historic demonstrations of LGBTQ+ pride and activism over the decades.

Madonna closed the set with a message tailor-made for Pride Month.

“Thanks for coming, I love you, Happy Pride!” she shouted to the crowd before leaving the stage.

The surprise concert is the latest milestone in Madonna’s rollout for Confessions II, scheduled for release July 3. And judging by the scene in Times Square, her fans are more than ready to get back on the dance floor!
