OK, I don’t really need the Colorsoft Kindle even though it’s dropped to its lowest price yet of AU$278 in this early Prime Day 2026 deal – as someone who has reviewed some of the best e-readers for TechRadar, I have plenty of them from different brands.
What I want – even need – is a nice, comfortable reading nook.
It’s a dream of mine to lie by a window, the sun streaming into a cozy corner where I can spend hours doing the one thing I truly love: reading. I can read for hours, and right now I end up staying in bed for it. I don’t even move on my couch because it just doesn’t feel…comfortable.
Then a “reading chair” on BookTok caught my eye and I couldn’t wait to find something similar in Australia. Well, guess what? Amazon has a version of this… actually there are a few versions of the same chair at different prices and the one I’ve been considering are both Prime eligible for free delivery to my Sydney metro address with guaranteed two day delivery, and it’s much cheaper than other versions I’ve seen on Amazon and elsewhere.
Although there is no mention of the cover material, it comes close to the corduroy look of one I saw on BookTok. Whether it’s corduroy or not, I don’t mind – I’m just glad it’s shrink-wrapped and vacuum-sealed, like a mattress in a box, and all I have to do is unwrap it to let it fluff up. No assembly required!
The listing says it uses memory foam, which should be a good thing, and based on some user reviews on the Amazon listing page, most customers actually liked it.
I can use it as a lounge chair if I want, and it becomes a guest bed when I have a guest. Overall it’s a good investment I think.
There are a few other “reading chairs” that caught my eye when I was looking for this one on Amazon, and they look tempting. I’d like to see how prices drop when Prime Day 2026 in Australia begins on July 7.
