Although it may be difficult for older players to accept, 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Pokémon started for the first time. Of course, we are far from finished, because Pokémon is forever. From 2027, Pokémon Winds And Flows launches Generation 10 with a giant new open-world game set in an all-new tropical region surrounded by a vast ocean.
We don’t know yet what is this new region called?or what kind of Pokémon we will encounter there, but there have been a lot of leaks lately. THE the legendary monsters of the game were recently teased online by a leaker, and now we’ve gotten a (sort of) preview of seven brand new Gen 10 monsters. It’s not quite official, but if you want to start planning who will join Browt, Pombon or Gequa about your trip next year, read on.
Video game escapees Leaks from the centeran account with a strong history of Pokémonrecently revealed seven brand new Pokémon with a cryptic image. Centro Leaks claims to have received this information from Billy, a known and reliable source in the world of Pokémon.
To be clear, the image shared by Centro Leaks does not not shows the Pokémon themselves, but teases what they might be. Let’s throw them out one by one.
- A bird and a pirate. A bird Pokémon with a pirate-themed appearance seems likely. Flight/Water type maybe?
- A Vogelkop tree kangaroo next to a photo of an MMA fighter. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t some sort of fighting-type kangaroo, although I’m surprised it hasn’t happened before.
- A Komodo Dragon Pokémon has already been leaked for Generation 10, which is very cool. Probably a Fire type, but you never know for sure.
- A long-beaked echidna Pokémon, which could be inspired by MonitoringThis is Ana, who fans of this game will know is a sniper. There’s a good chance we’ll have a Pokémon that uses its beak as a sniper rifle, which is the crudest thing I’ve ever heard.
- A tapir Pokémon, with some sort of relationship to a Buddha statue from Thailand. It’s worth noting that Drowzee is based on the tapir, so could it be a regional variant?
- A rabbit Pokémon that has something to do with the moon. It should be noted that the Moon Rabbit is a mythical figure in East Asian and Native American folklore, so this may be related.
- A buttoned hornbill Pokémon, which has something to do with the sun. Maybe Rabbit (Moon) and Hornbill (Sun) are Legendary or Mythical Pokémon?
With Pokémon Winds and Waves officially scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, I’m sure it won’t be long before we get an in-depth look at these new creatures. Watch this space.
