Ariana Grande spends July 4th with ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez

Ariana Grande‘s ex-boyfriend is still very much in the photo… because Ricky Alvarez joined him for a Fourth of July grocery run before the couple headed to his parents’ house for the holiday.

Ariana and Ricky hit Whole Foods in Florida on Saturday, stocking up on groceries before heading to the family party — nothing screams Independence Day quite like shopping with your ex.

The vacation came right after Ariana completed three sold-out “Eternal Sunshine Tour” shows in Sunrise, Florida…so she apparently swapped the stage for the supermarket aisle.

Of course, Ricky has been popping up around Ariana a lot lately. TMZ previously reported that he took care of her concert in Austin, Texas… where Ari even changed the “thank you, next” lyrics about him from “now I listen and laugh” to “he always has my back.”

Before that, the exes were spotted hanging out together in Texas…although sources said According to TMZ, there is nothing romantic between them and they are simply longtime friends.

All of Ricky’s comments follow Ariana’s split from Ethan Slater. As we reported, Ariana and Ethan I called it quits month before news of their breakup surfaced in June.

No word on what was on the menu for July 4…but Ariana’s ex was apparently invited back for a few seconds.
