The Brusly High and Louisiana Lady Dukes pitcher now has a player-owned site where college coaches can find verified stats, game film and a direct line to recruit her.
BRUSLY, Louisiana. Skye Hebert, a Class of 2028 softball pitcher and utility player for Brusly High School and the Louisiana Lady Dukes 16U, has launched a personalized college recruitment website built by BlakSheep Creative. The site offers college coaches a single place to view her verified stats, watch game film, view her presentation schedule and contact her directly, and Skye owns it entirely.
For travel balloon families, this unique link solves a real problem. A recruit’s profile is usually found on rented platforms and scattered highlight links, none of which the athlete controls. The new site brings everything a coach needs into one quick, mobile-friendly page that Skye maintains for the duration of her recruitment.
Timing matters. College softball is one of the most difficult sports to get to the next level. Only about 6.5 percent of high school softball players go on to compete in NCAA softball, and only 2.1 percent reach Division I, according to the NCAA Research on Likelihood of Competing Beyond High School. In such a small field, being easy for a coach to find and evaluate is part of the job.
“I play because I love that feeling when you work hard on something and actually see yourself improving,” Skye Hébert said on her site. “Softball has taught me a lot about pushing myself, bouncing back when things get tough, and achieving the goals that matter to me on the mound and in the classroom.”
The website lays out the details a coach checks first: grade, positions, height and weight, GPA, high school and travel team, all visible at the top of the page. From there, it opens up to the full assessment:
A statistics section with current season pitching and batting numbers for quick reading Categorized season reels and game films playable online, without autoplay An awards calendar covering tournament MVP honors, all-state nominations and back-to-back district titles A live presentation and camp schedule so coaches know exactly where to watch her play A featured coach endorsement for third-party credibility An important recruitment application form that goes directly to Skye and her family Coaches increasingly make a first impression online before seeing a player in person, making verified stats and clear, watchable film more valuable than a pile of unsorted clips. Building this home base as soon as possible is not premature. Under NCAA rules, Division I softball coaches can begin contacting recruits as early as September 1 of an athlete’s junior year, according to the NCAA Division I Softball Recruiting Schedule. For a class of 2028 players, that window is close enough to prepare for now.
Skye’s arguments on the ground are already strong. She is a two-time district champion and 2026 state runner-up with Brusly High, a two-time all-state nominee and a repeat travel ball tournament MVP who has competed against older competitors.
“Skye’s versatility is one of her greatest strengths,” said Louisiana Lady Dukes 16U coach Jenn Sibley. “She has the ability to contribute at multiple positions and competes with confidence, stamina and determination every time she steps on the court. She is constantly putting in extra work outside of practice to improve her game and is always striving to become a better athlete.”
The recruiting site was designed and built by BlakSheep Creative as part of its Recruit Spotlight program, which creates custom player-owned websites for travel ball and high school athletes.
“Families spend thousands of hours and money on the trip, and then the athlete’s profile ends up on a platform that they rent and can lose,” said Clint Sanchez, founder of BlakSheep Creative. “We built Skye a site that she actually owns, one that looks as serious as she plays and that gives a college coach everything they need in one scroll. It still works for her during a showcase or while she sleeps the night before.”
