Despite the release Version 3.0 earlier this year, alongside the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 port, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has gone from hero to zero since its launch in 2020. Arriving at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, it became a lifeline for its millions of users, allowing them to stay in touch and play with their friends despite being confined at home.
Therefore, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became the best-selling Animal Crossing title of all time, positioning itself as the second best-selling Nintendo Switch game and selling over 47 million copies worldwide.
However, with just a brief DLC titled Happy Home Paradise released in 2021, Nintendo has seemingly left Animal Crossing’s most recent entry in the dust without further content updates or events. Additionally, with the launch of competing social simulation games, such as Poppy earlier this year, many left their beautifully organized islands in New horizons and moved on.
While Nintendo may be reluctant to bring new and exciting content to the Animal Crossing franchise, other creators are not and now fans can look forward to six new Animal Crossing Happy Room sets.
Courtesy of Re-Ment, this is the second wave of Happy Room sets dedicated to the Animal Crossing universe. Featuring different characters from the series, including some fan favorites, the six sets will go on sale in Japan for 1,500円 ($9.20) in November. As always, these sets may only be available for purchase in Japan, but looking for sites that ship worldwide might just be your best bet here while you wait for news of them launching in other regions. Fortunately, with the first wave of releases arriving later on Amazon, we can assume the same thing will happen here.
By purchasing a complete box, you will guarantee all six versions of the new Happy Room sets. But first, you may be wondering what it is. Well, each box comes with a small diorama featuring an Animal Crossing character along with some furniture. For this latest release, you’ll be able to receive Tom Nook in the Resident Services Building, Blathers in the Museum, Mable in the Able Sisters Shop, Shino in a Japanese-style room, Dom in a backyard-themed room, and Bunnie in a casual, calmly designed room.
As with any other diorama, you can manipulate the characters and furniture as you wish and, as mentioned, purchasing a full box could allow you to come away with all the characters and furniture, allowing you to create a full-fledged house.
The all-new Animal Crossing Happy Room sets will launch in Japan in November 2026 and will most likely hit Amazon worldwide soon after. So if you’re a fan of Nintendo’s beloved franchise and want to flaunt it in style, be sure to check out this latest release.
