U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents shot and killed a person in Biddeford, Maine, Monday morning…marking the second deadly shooting involving ICE agents in less than a week.

Speaker of the Maine House Ryan Fecteau said in a statement on Facebook… “One person was killed. ICE was involved. State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene gathering details and expect the FBI to also investigate. These are the details I have at this time. I will provide further updates, as they come to me.”

Purported video from the scene shows the aftermath of the shooting… and officers appeared to provide first aid to the person, who was lying in the street.

Fatal shooting in Maine follows fatal shooting in Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Texas… which took place last Tuesday during a traffic stop. Lorenzo, a Mexican citizen, lived in the United States for more than three decades and owned a construction company in Texas.

Biddeford is a coastal town in Maine with about 21,000 residents…about 15 miles south of Portland.

We contacted ICE…so far, no response.
