Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs” Twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs are starting a new business and they have no fear. In a new interview, the 19-year-old entrepreneurs opened up about why now is the perfect time to launch their new fashion line and why they’re not afraid of their father’s legal issues weighing them down.
Are Diddy’s daughters afraid his legal troubles could hurt their new business?
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the twins, who Diddy had with the late Kim Porter, said they aren’t worried that their father’s ongoing legal issues will hurt their businesses. “Not at all,” they replied confidently.
But why are D’Lila and Jessie so confident in the success of their new fashion line when their father is behind bars after being convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution?
“Because people don’t realize that just because he’s our father doesn’t mean his press is his own press,” D’Lila said. “Our press is our own press. As if people don’t understand that we are also individuals. As if it’s separate. So, I have no fear.”

In October 2025, Diddy’s federal trial ended with a judge sentencing him to 50 months in federal prison.
His trial took place in Manhattan Federal District Court, and although the jury acquitted him of the major charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, it convicted him of the lesser charges of transporting people for prostitution.
Although it was difficult to learn that their father would be imprisoned for just over four years, Jessie said the news surrounding it wasn’t going to stop them from reaching for the stars.
“I just feel like we never allowed any of this to stop us,” she said. “Like we have to keep going. And honestly, it just made us push and work harder because you know we’re not going to stop.”

And even though Diddy has been in hiding at FCI Fort Dix since last fall, the twins said they continue to have a wonderful relationship with him.
“We are definitely very close and he gives the best advice,” Jessie said. “He’ll always be there and he’ll always give us the right answers. He’s literally never wrong. Like everything else he’s told us about this, it’s been very helpful.”
Jessie also shed light on how their father has been behind bars, stating that he was “very focused” on being a good person and being there for his family.

Diddy’s children shared a similar message during a court hearing in 2025, according to The Blast. Justin Combs called the “Finna Get Loose” rapper a “superhero” while begging the judge to give him a “second chance.”
“I can truly honestly say that he has changed for the better,” Justin continued. “Your honor, I believe my father has much more to give to the world, but more importantly, much more to give to his children.”
Diddy’s other son, Quincy Combs, echoed his brother’s statement, telling the judge that his father had learned “a major lesson” during his legal woes. He went on to say that the 56-year-old had been “transformed” and that he had better move on.

According to a previous report from The Blast, Jessie and D’Lila’s streetwear line, 12TWINTY1, is officially available for purchase. The line, which includes clothing for men and women, includes hoodies, tank tops, oversized tees and more.
In their latest interview, the teens revealed why it was the right time for them to launch their products after dreaming of this day for “many, many years.”
“It’s time because we’re becoming adults. So now, yeah, actually, it’s time because we’re 19. We’re not in high school anymore. We’re becoming young women. We’re becoming our own individuals,” D’Lila shared.
