90 Day Fiance: Alliya Makes Shawn Sweat at the Altar – Recap [S11E16]

It’s wedding time on 90 Day Fiance and Alliya de Batista takes her time getting ready and leaves Shawn Finch and guests waiting in the heat for hours. Any Aguirre comes clean to her family about wanting to be in a throuple. Sarper Guven spills coffee grounds and disappears until Shekinah Garner tracks him down with a little help. And Greg Chillak makes a timely mistake as his wedding draws near. Let’s say I do to this recap of Season 11, Episode 16 Love On The Line.

90 Day Fiance: Alliya Takes Her Time While Shawn Sweats

It’s wedding day for Alliya de Batista and Shawn Finch on 90 Day Fiance. Things start off strong when Alliya surprises Shawn with the news she’ll sign the prenup. It’s a hot one in California with temps expected to hit 104. Alliya de Batista and her friend Jackie head to a house near the outdoor wedding venue so Alliya can get ready. Alliya makes it clear it will be a long process. Possibly over 2 hours. However Jackie warns her she has less time than that.

Meanwhile, Shawn Finch is busy doing his mom’s hair for the big day. Things go wrong quickly when Shawn’s mom suffers a bad fall. He’s worried sick that she will push herself to come to the wedding rather than put her health first. She says she will be fine and he suggests she not come if it gets any worse. Shawn rattles off the itinerary of the wedding. Including a timeline for nuptials, dinner, dancing and partying like rock stars.

Meanwhile, Alliya de Batista is taking her time getting ready on 90 Day Fiance. Even after Shawn tells her over the phone what’s happening with his mom. Shawn arrives at the venue and sees his mom in the front row with her leg propped up and iced. He stands at the altar in his bedazzled suit. But as time ticks on in the heat, he’s getting annoyed there’s no sign or word from Alliya de Batista.  After almost 2 hours he says he’s done and walks off.

90 Day Fiance: Throuple Expose the Truth to Any’s Family

After the dust settled from the fallout over Any’s ex revealing her name is really Brenda and she is still married, the throuple is moving forward. Next steps for these crazy kids include finally meeting Any’s family in Guadalajara. The triple threat hit up a store to buy some flowers for her aunt. Any Aguirre‘s aunt raised her from a child after she lost her parents. So, she worries her aunt won’t approve. And this could be a deal breaker.

On 90 Day Fiance, they make it to her aunt Virginia’s house. Her brother and sister-in-law are there too. It’s awkward because Any told her aunt she was bringing her boyfriend, meaning Matt Jlassi. And a friend. It’s tense for a minute and Any’s aunt has an unfortunate case of resting b*tch face. To top it off, Amani Jlassi chokes on her beverage when it went “down the wrong hole”. Throuple problems. Any blurts out that while Matt is her boyfriend, she likes girls too and that she wants to marry both of them.

Her brother takes a hard swallow and his wife looks somewhat amused. Her aunt is speechless for a minute on 90 Day Fiance. But recovers enough to ask if they are a tres. Amani chimes in that the aunt looks angry. Followed by coaching Any on what to say. Including that her and her kids will have a better life with them. Her brother comes around first and says he is ok with it. And her aunt softens and agrees, giving her blessing for the throuple and their future.

TLC Couple Shekinah Garner and Sarper Guven Struggle

Over the top 90 Day Fiance couple Shekinah Garner and Sarper Guven continue bathing in drama. After Shekinah suggested a prenup, he suggested a weight limit. Sarper sulks over the prenup. And the next morning, he spills some coffee grounds down the stairs. This pushes him over the edge and he takes off into the streets of LA. Shekinah explains in a monotone voice to production that he’s missing and not answering calls or texts.

But a dim light does shine through Shekinah’s eyes when she remembers she placed an air tag on Sarper’s keys. Just because he’s forgetful. Production questions the real reason that she placed a tag on his keys. She explains he won’t share his location. But it’s clear Shekinah doesn’t trust him. Production catches up with him in a cafe followed by Shekinah. Sarper admits he fears marriage. Not to mention being tracked by a suspicious Shekinah.

90 Day Fiance: Greg’s Mistake Could Mess with His Wedding

Greg Chillak has come a long way since Joan Kruchov arrived in America. He got a job and now he’s planning a surprise for Joan on the eve of their wedding. He’s bought some traditional Ugandan wedding garb and arranges for Ugandan food and entertainment for a special party the night before the wedding. Joan loves his effort. But Greg realizes in the morning he messed up the time on the invitation. So his mom Lucille goes into overdrive contacting guests.

Mina Mack gets bad news about her own wedding plans on 90 Day Fiance. After arriving at their beautiful waterfront venue, Mina gets a phone call. It seems her son Clayton won’t be able to make it to the United States in time for the wedding. Mina hangs up sobbing and says she can’t marry. Mark Bessette follows her trying to console her and to reconsider going ahead with the wedding in spite of the news.

In other 90 Day Fiance wedding woes, Juan David Daza decides that Jessica Parsons should’ve been learning Spanish while working full time with an infant and two other kids. He’s irritated when his family arrives, and Jessica can only blurt out a few basic words like casa and Grande. So he pulls her outside to shame her over it. Rich coming from the person who considered slinging pina coladas on a cruise for 8 months of the year away from his son. Adios till next time!
