'Blue's Clues' Steve Burns reunites with Make-A-Wish patient 22 years later

'Blue's Clues' star Steve Burns has revealed a memory buried deep inside when a cancer survivor visited him at a convention. Turns out they had met 2 decades earlier through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Brandon Ragland tells TMZ...that he's been in remission for over 23 years and recently reconnected with Steve at Steel City Con in Pennsylvania, some 22 years after they first came face-to-face under circumstances very different.

That's pretty cool...Brandon says he approached Steve's booth, shook hands with the actor, and pulled out a picture of the two of them from 2000 -- back then where Steve was a kid from Make-A-Wish -- and everything clicked for Steve, whose eyes lit up and said, "I remember this and you!"

Brandon says Steve told him a story about their first meeting at Serendipity 3 in New York. Brandon was a 4-year-old meeting his favorite TV star, and Steve remembers being a wild kid running around the restaurant.

During their reunion, Steve asked Brandon for a new picture together, and then they both started crying. You can see why all the water works: Brandon had stage 4 kidney and lung cancer when they first met, and now he's 25 and has his own family.
