Bold and the Beautiful: Liam Is Not Going to Die – Because He Says So?

Bold and the Beautiful viewers have been privy to a week’s worth of Liam Spencer dying, but there’s also a heavy dose of denial from him on the CBS soap. So far, B&B has dragged this storyline all week, and people still don’t know about his terminal diagnosis. Liam refuses to take the death sentence handed down to him. So, is this a hint of things to come… or is B&B dragging this on for a while before planning to pull the plug on this character?

Bold and the Beautiful: Liam Spencer Says It Isn’t So…

For several episodes, Bold and the Beautiful has had Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) going through a boatload of emotions as Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) delivered his prognosis.

She’s backed up by Finn (Tanner Novlan). But even when the doctor tells him that he is going to die, it still doesn’t sink in for Liam. He is determined to go on living for his two daughters. Liam rambles on about how he sees this happening, like getting help from all the modern technology today in medicine. So, the one-time waffler refuses to give up.

Steffy cries while listening to Liam. But this week we’ve heard from Finn, Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech), and Dr. Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones), who are working with the neuro team. The tumor on his brain is inoperable, leaving Liam Spencer’s case terminal. But for Liam, it is not happening.

B&B Has Liam’s Fate Going, Going, Gone?

Bold and the Beautiful has Liam’s fate looking pretty grim. An old soap article reporting a contract renewal for Scott Clifton suddenly appeared again as if it just came out. So, if you happen upon the news stating that Scott Clifton signed a new contract, that’s right, he did. But that was a few years back, so maybe his contract is up soon.

Liam Spencer is a main player on Bold and the Beautiful, but he’s on the back burner a lot lately. This dying storyline is the most drama he’s seen in a while. With Steffy now pretty much cemented with Finn, there’s no room for that old Steffy-Liam-Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) love triangle.

Even if there was a way to slither in the waffler between Hope and Steffy again, Bold and the Beautiful fans can’t stomach another minute of that plot. But maybe it’s not the soap that wants him gone.

Maybe Scott wants to move on to greener pastures. After all, B&B keeps him on the shelf for prolonged periods of time. Only to then take him down, dust him off, and give him a few scenes. But that’s it, and away he goes again – unheard from for a while longer. So maybe he found something where he could utilize more of his acting skills.

Bold and the Beautiful: Tear-Jerking Scenes Lead to Divine Intervention?

Some Bold and the Beautiful fans see this plot as a mirror image of Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) past death sentence. He too was given no chance to live. Then doom blanketed B&B for a while.

But Finn found an experimental treatment, and then, lo and behold… Eric emerged alive and well. So The Bold and the Beautiful fans watching these Liam dying scenes see shades of Eric Forrester’s flirtation with death.

While it is always possible the soap will do away with a main character like Liam Spencer, most viewers don’t see that happening.

 B&B viewers don’t think Liam is doomed to death. Instead, they think the CBS soap will pull a miracle out of thin air — or possibly Finn has something up his sleeve.
