When Boris Johnson set up the Covid Inquiry, he vowed it would "rigorously" investigate the Government's handling of the pandemic.

However, the Cabinet Office is thwarting the investigation by refusing to hand over his WhatsApp messages. These could provide crucial insight into the decisions made and why so many died in nursing homes.

They can also offer more details about illegal parties during Mr Johnson's time at No 10.

If the investigation cannot establish the facts, no lesson can be learned. To top it off, Mr. Johnson relies on taxpayer-funded lawyers to advise him on his response to the investigation.

He's getting his legal bills for free while Tory legal aid cuts mean hundreds of thousands of people can't access justice to pursue housing, employment and family matters.< /p>

If Mr Johnson can afford a multi-million pound house, he can afford his own legal costs. Once again, he puts his interests above others.

Rishi too weak

Yet he casually dismissed the case against Home Secretary Suella Braverman without offering any evidence to support the decision.

Mr. Sunak had the opportunity to keep his promise to restore integrity and transparency in government.
