Days of our Lives Early Spoilers July 28-Aug 1: Tate’s Heartbreak Deepens, Marlena Stumbles, Doug Exits

Days of Our Lives spoilers for July 28 – August 1, 2025 see Tate Black (Leo Howard) is crushed, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) drops, and Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) is out of Salem.

As we always do on early edition day, we’re going to talk about what’s ahead the last few days of this week and then dive into the action for next week.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Sophia Lies to Tate

On Wednesday, July 23rd, we’ve got Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) continuing that Tuesday conversation with Tate when she showed up at his door after getting back from Chicago. She is going to say again that their newborn baby girl was born but also was adopted in Chicago by the adoptive parents.

Of course, Sophia is lying about them. They don’t exist. But she’s going to tell Tate that their little girl has already been taken by the new parents who were there at the birth. That is what Tate was concerned about when he was talking to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). He said he was very worried that he missed the birth and that he didn’t get to meet these adoptive parents. Tate is going to be totally horrified because it definitely looks to him like he will never get to meet his daughter.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Gabi & Tony Plot

Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), D.A. Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) do some plotting. They want Melinda away from Titan and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). Gabi Hernandez is going to use her sexiness as a weapon as part of Tony’s big plan. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) finally gets to spend some time with Victoria after arguing non-stop with Xander about visitation.

Doug gets chewed out really, really good by both Arianna Hernandez (Marissa Reyes) and Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). They come to the Brady Pub where he’s at work and let him have it for putting them in danger. Of course, he didn’t mean to. Holly thought she had paid off his debt. He thought she had paid off his debt and they came back for interest, but Doug didn’t want to tell Holly because she had already helped him out.

So, he’s going to keep apologizing, but Ari is going to give him a good face slap anyway. Then Ari is going back over to the Hernandez house. She is happily reunited with her mom on Wednesday and checks in with little baby Tessorto.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Key Plot Twists and Character Developments for July 23rd and 24th

On Thursday, July 24th, Belle Black (Martha Madison) takes EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to Marlena’s. Belle wants her mom to do hypnosis on EJ to try and get back his memories of who shot him. EJ knows the best way to exonerate Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is to find out the truth.

But if EJ’s memories have Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) involved with pulling the trigger, well, we’ll see because I think Marlena would absolutely hide this to protect her granddaughter and look for another way to exonerate her grandson, Johnny.

Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) worries that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) is a possible suspect in EJ’s shooting based on that video. Paulina is also really worried about Johnny since he’s up on charges and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) is there to support the family. Chanel’s there. Everybody’s there for Johnny during the trial, and it is definitely kicking off. We’re going to have witnesses, all kinds of stuff going on.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Gwen Gets a Shock

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) is completely shocked on Thursday. I wonder if her necklace went missing. We’ll see. Brady, Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), and Gwen have an intense talk at the DiMera mansion. If her bubbles are missing, maybe she wonders if Rachel was playing.

The reason I mention this is I just wonder if Doug is going to find a way to swipe the necklace before he leaves town to try and make things right with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). That would be very nice. I mean, Gwen can afford to buy another necklace. She’s got all that von Leuschner money right now.

Emotional Goodbyes and Intrigue: Doug Williams’ Departure and Gwen’s Secret Agenda

On Friday, July 25th, we have Doug saying a bittersweet goodbye to Julie. She hasn’t wanted to talk to him at all, but when Doug comes by to say goodbye, she is going to talk to him. Julie’s very nice. She tells him he has lots of potential. I do wonder if Doug is going to change his life after he leaves and if we might get him back eventually.

I like Payton Meyer and I don’t know that they crafted a particularly great character for him. So, I’m bittersweet on him leaving because I would have liked to have had a better storyline because he is a good actor and he’s a really cute guy. I do wonder on his way out of town if Julie is going to get back her necklace because I don’t know if Gwen would ever give it up voluntarily.

Speaking of Miss Rizczech von Leuschner, Gwen is harassing Gabi, about Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Dimitri Gabi wants to know if Gwen saw Stefan while she was in Germany getting that von Leuschner dough, and Gwen’s not going to give her a lot of info. She’s taunting Gabi that both of their husbands, Dimitri and Stefan, are MIA. While Gabi would like to see Stefan, I don’t think Gwen cares if she ever saw Dimitri again.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Marlena Gets Worse

Back over at Johnny trial at the courthouse on Friday, Marlena just collapses. I wonder if the stress after EJ hypnosis reveals something that is just too much for her to bear is what is causing this. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) is trying to get her mom to wake up while Abe is holding Marlena. Johnny’s upset.

Even EJ is worried. This might be a mystery malady. We do know that she got dizzy and Belle was really worried about her the other day because it looked like her mom almost fell. They’re going to rush Marlena out of the courtroom and over to the hospital.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Brady Develops Feelings for Sarah

Sarah leans on Brady as things get rougher with Xander over their daughter Victoria. Keep an eye on Brady because very soon he’s going to start to grow feelings for Sarah. He hasn’t had a decent woman in a minute or a woman at all. She gets along really well with Rachel, and that’s important because any woman that Rachel doesn’t like, she’s going to tear her eyes.

Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) is back on Friday. Stacy Haiduk is going to be doing double duty, but not for too long. Susan is there to check on her precious Elvis Jr. and her grandson Johnny who is on trial. Susan tries to use her psychic powers to figure out who shot her precious baby boy, EJ.

Upcoming Drama and Secrets: July 28th to August 1st Days of Our Lives Spoilers

For the week of July 28th through August 1st, Melinda and Sophia may be alarmed if Tate and Brady start digging into the phony adoption scheme. Melinda laid the groundwork for confusion by having Sophia say it was a girl instead of a boy and was adopted in Chicago because Sophia told Melinda that she’s worried somebody will recognize Tate as half Asian and put it together. There aren’t many Asians in Salem that we have seen, enough for Sophia to specifically mention it to Melinda.

Sophia’s time is almost up to reclaim. When a mother puts a baby in one of those safe haven adoption boxes, you have what, 14 days? She told Melinda she doesn’t regret giving him up. Tate is having a whole bunch of issues with this, and I wonder if he’s going to dig in and figure out that Tesoro is his.

Days of our Lives Spoilers: Marlena’s Family Worries

Marlena’s fragile health concerns have got her family and friends really worried. Marlena tells Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley), who turns around and tells Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) that Marlena thinks Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) is somehow still alive. Marlena is going to be having Queen of the Night hallucinations. I wonder if EJ wanted University Hospital so Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) could have a local lab to do some of his weird science.

Holly and Tate get closer, and she comforts him as he’s devastated about never meeting his child. More on Gwen’s secret agenda in Salem. The trial continues with Paulina Rachel), and others testifying against Johnny. Gabi kisses Xander soon, and Sarah kisses Brady and Xander punches Brady. That’s all coming soon. Philip and Xander continue to bicker, and Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) dig deeper into EJ’s finances.
