'RuPaul's Drag Race' star Gia Gunn says she's much more anxious about this year's Pride festivities after a slew of threats to LGBTQ+ organizations, but she doesn't think that should prevent people from celebrating.

We caught up with Gia at the Dialog Cafe on Friday in WeHo, where she admitted she's been more cautious this year when it comes to Pride events - walking us through her many emotions she's been feeling lately as a transgender woman.

Gia shared her thoughts on the recent threats surrounding the Mid-South Pride Festival on Saturday in Memphis, which, as we reported, is the subject of protests from Aryan nations -- but despite the potential risks, she tells us why it's important to keep showing up.

You may recall that the Tennessee party tightened security after several threats against the organization, artists, and even festival director Vanessa Rodley, who told us she was working with law enforcement to make sure everyone was safe.

Stars showing their pride

Gia believes that having a plan in place is key to supporting the LGBTQ+ community at all the celebrations taking place throughout June.
