Haunting footage shows the belongings of the South Korean Halloween crush, as families around the world mourn the loss of loved ones.

Officials collected the personal belongings of the victims at a gym, following the fatal accident that left more than 150 young people dead - most were teenagers and in their twenties, and the women were more more than men among the victims.

Among those killed in Itaewon, the Seoul neighborhood where the Halloween festivities took place, were citizens of the United States, China, Iran, Norway, France, Australia and from Uzbekistan.

In the first unmasked event since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, revelers crowded into an alley just 11 feet wide, and a human traffic bottleneck made it difficult to breathe and travel.

The alleyway was clogged with around 450 revelers, before people started toppling over "like dominoes", witnesses said.

People were shouting, "Please don't come out, people are dying" as the crowd rushed to try to get out and stomped on the bodies.

Yoon Suk Yeol, President of South Korea, declared a week-long period of national mourning, and it emerged that Seoul police had assigned only 137 officers to handle the crowds of revelers.< /p>
