Hundreds at Birmingham show as Bob Marley's memory is honored
Hundreds of people attended a show devoted to Bob Marley, while artists, including his grandson, reinterpreted the man there from his most famous tunes.
The performance at Birmingham Town Hall took place 50 years after the Marley's first performance in the city.
Around 800 people attended the event, including the late star's daughter Cedella and grandson Skip Marley , who played.
The show, which will be broadcast by the BBC, is part of its coverage of the 60th anniversary of Jamaica's independence.
This is also part of the celebrations marking the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, and Tuesday's event took place 48 hours before the Opening Ceremony.
Marley died of cancer 41 years ago in Miami at the age of 36.
Bob Marley Reimagined will be on BBC Radio 2 on Sunday 31 July from 8.00pm BST and on BBC Two on Saturday 13 August. They will also be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds for 30 days after broadcast.
