Man killed in motorcycle-ambulance collision in Kozhikode

A 51-year-old man was killed and three others injured after his motorcycle collided with an ambulance at Thiruvambady in Kozhikode in the early hours of Friday (October 23).

The deceased was identified as Subair, a native of Puthuppady. Police sources said the accident occurred around 4 a.m. The ambulance veered off the road and crashed into an electric pole following the collision.

The ambulance driver, an accompanying nurse, and a patient sustained injuries in the accident.

The patient was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvambady for a heart ailment. The patient was shifted to a hospital in Kozhikode city for specialised treatment.
