CPI (M) demands SIT probe into party veteran Samineni Rama Rao’s murder case

CPI (M) Khammam district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao has demanded a probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the murder of party veteran Samineni Rama Rao to bring what he called the ‘actual culprits’ to justice.

In a statement issued here on Thursday (October 29, 2026) evening, Mr. Rao called for an immediate SIT inquiry and a thorough investigation into the case.

He said the eyewitness accounts and the names mentioned by Rama Rao’s wife should be thoroughly examined to identify those responsible for the murder.

Referring to the arrest of four persons in connection with the case, he alleged that attempts were being made to allow the ‘actual perpetrators’ to go ‘scot-free.’
