The Minister’s wife and daughters campaign for alliance candidates across city divisions, highlighting development works and seeking votes for mayoral candidate Roop Kumar Yadav

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has intensified its campaign for the Nellore municipal elections, with the family members of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana taking the lead. His wife, Ponguru Ramadevi, and daughters, Sindhura and Sharani, are touring various divisions in the city to campaign for alliance candidates.

Ms. Ramadevi and her daughters are visiting around 12 divisions each day. Despite heavy rain, they campaigned across several divisions on Friday, accompanied by members of the TDP Women’s Wing.

Ms. Ramadevi interacted with residents and local business owners, seeking their support for the alliance candidates. She appealed to voters to support corporator candidates Darshi Harikrishna, Dharmavaram Ganesh, Potluri Ramakrishna and Kapira Revathi, besides mayoral candidate Roop Kumar Yadav.

Under Ms. Sharani’s leadership, alliance leaders campaigned in various divisions, seeking votes for Kuvvarapu Balaji (14th Division), Kamma Kalyani (16th Division), Kartam Pratap Reddy (19th Division) and Ganesam Venkateswarlu (20th Division).

Ms. Sindhura campaigned in Bhagat Singh Colony, covering Divisions 71 and 72, and at Venkateswarapuram Centre. She said Nellore had witnessed significant development during the TDP’s tenure, with ₹6,000 crore spent on the city’s development in just two years and three months.

She also highlighted the development initiatives taken up during the TDP’s tenure and said permanent land title deeds had been granted to displaced residents of Bhagat Singh Colony under Mr. Narayana’s leadership.
