Police in Bimbilla have arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly shooting his wife dead following a domestic dispute at Fulakuma, a community near Chamba in the Nanumba North Municipality of the Northern Region.

The suspect, identified as Kaaku Kofi, is accused of killing his 32-year-old wife, Naado Adyemang, in the early hours of October 23, 2026.

According to police, tensions between the couple had reportedly been fuelled by accusations of infidelity and disagreements between the deceased and the suspect’s first wife.

The woman had allegedly threatened to leave the marriage during the recurring disputes. On October 22, she reportedly had another confrontation with the first wife and again expressed her intention to leave.

The suspect is alleged to have shot her in the left side of her chest the following morning, resulting in her immediate death.

The arrest has paved the way for police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
