Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy played a key role in protecting 550 acres of government land in Miyapur: Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy hands over Indiramma house sanction letters to the beneficiaries at Yedulapuram in Khammam rural mandal on Friday.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the State government had secured legal protection for 550 acres of government land worth over ₹35,000 crore in Miyapur of Ranga Reddy district, thanks to the efforts of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who was the then MP.
He hailed the Supreme Court verdict in this regard.
Addressing a meeting after handing over Indiramma house sanction letters to 176 beneficiaries at Yedulapuram in Khammam rural mandal on Friday, the Minister said that Mr. Revanth Reddy had played a crucial role in protecting the valuable land through legal proceedings after assuming office as the Chief Minister.
He alleged that the previous BRS rulers had attempted to hand over the land to two of their close associates, including a realtor.
Mr. Revanth Reddy had appointed senior advocates on behalf of the State government who effectively pursued the case before the Supreme Court, he said.
The Minister accused BRS leaders of shedding crocodile tears over the plight of poor, alleging that they had neglected them during their nearly 10-year rule.
The Congress government had allocated ₹40,000 crore for the construction of Indiramma houses in two phases.
The third and fourth phases would be taken up, if necessary, to ensure that all eligible poor people received houses, he added.
