Three arrested after allegedly stolen car driven wildly across Brisbane

Police helicopter video has captured three people driving an allegedly stolen car across Brisbane.

Police have charged three people after a series of armed robberies involving an allegedly stolen vehicle across multiple Brisbane suburbs.

Police were called to a home in Kuraby in Brisbane's south about 3:15pm Friday after receiving reports a man and a woman had threatened a female resident with a knife before attempting to steal a vehicle.

It is alleged the same offenders were involved in an attempted armed robbery in Sunnybank Hills earlier in the day.

Police allege the offenders fled the scene in a black Haval H6 which had been stolen from a car wash in Goodna on Wednesday.

The vehicle was spotted in Waterford about 5pm and a police helicopter began tracking its movements.

Police video shows the vehicle driving dangerously through multiple suburbs including Forest Lake, Sumner Park, Corinda and Indooroopilly.

At one point the car cuts through a service station, narrowly avoiding a cyclist.

A tyre deflation device was used on the vehicle in Milton about 6:13pm and it came to a stop on Gailey Road in the neighbouring suburb of St Lucia seven minutes later.

Two women and a man were taken into custody.

A 26-year-old Morningside woman and a 22-year-old Kingston woman have been charged with multiple offences, including armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 24-year-old Forest Lake man has been charged with 12 offences.

All three were due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Police have appealed for any witnesses, including anyone with relevant dashcam video, to get in touch.
